L’étude de l’artiste Judith Amicabile est composée d’un site web dont la navigation prend la forme d’une œuvre d’art qui incite à l’expérience et l’expérimentation. Le site propose une navigation totalement intuitive, offrant une place à la subjectivité de l’internaute, regardeur. Cette approche sensible est basée sur une relation « tactile » à l’écran de l’ordinateur.

Le curseur usuel figurant une flèche est ici remplacé par un onglet circulant à la lisière d’un cercle. La première page s’ouvre sur un cercle de couleur qui n’est jamais la même. La première intervention de l’utilisateur a pour effet de révéler que ce cercle fonctionne comme un nuancier : chaque mouvement de la main de l’utilisateur faisant graduellement évoluer la couleur initiale. Le déplacement se fait à la circonférence du cercle. Il a pour effet de proposer de cliquer sans dévoiler l’éventail des liens proposés. Le clic opère un changement bref mais définitif puisqu’il nous fait pénétrer dans la couleur choisie : le cercle initial s’agrandit jusqu’à former une page. A côté du cercle-nuancier, un lien “plan du site” permet au visiteur de se rendre directement à l’information recherchée (description du projet, présentation de l’association, des locataires, des habitants etc.).

Le site propose des renseignements pratiques ou des informations sur IGLOO qui est un programme européen d’insertion global par le logement. Ce programme est fondé sur la participation active des personnes défavorisées à la production de leur habitat. Le projet de construction dans la rue des poissonniers (Paris 19e), pour lequel ce site a été réalisé, est la première opération IGLOO à Paris. Le site est également un outil très concret à l’adresse des habitants et des internautes.

Judith Amicabile’s study consists of a web site whose navigation looks like a piece of artwork that has to be experienced. The web site proposes a total intuitive navigation, offering a room for the watcher and allowing for the internaute’s subjectivity. This sensitive approach is based on tactile relationships with the screen of the computer.

The usual sign of the cursor is replaced by a button circulating around a circle. Each first page can be opened with a new circle and a new color.The first intervention of the user has the effect of revealing the fact that the circle works as a sample card. Each movement of the user’s hand makes the initial color graduate in evolution. This displacement is possible on the boundaries of the circle. It has the effect of clicking without revealing the different links that are possible. That clicking proposes a quick but definitive shift because it allows us to penetrate into the selected color. The  initial circle grows up in order to form a new page. Close to the sample card, the link « plan du site » allows the visitor to go directly to the searched information (description of the project, presentation of the association, of the renters, of the residents, etc…)

The site offers useful informations about IGLOO, which concerns an European program of global integration through housing. This program is based on sharing housing production for underprivileged people. The project concerning building housing in the Poissoneries street (19th arrondissement, Paris),  which the site is dedicated to, is the first operation of IGLOO, in Paris. The site is also a tool made for internauts’ and residents’ emails.
